Ingrid summer sweater

Summer sweater featuring a nice eyelet detail. Ingrid sweater is worked from the top down. The back is knit first. Then, the front shoulders are picked up from the shoulder edge and worked top-down as you shape the neck. Finally, the front and back are joined together at the underarm and the body is knit seamlessly in the round to the hem. It has some decreases for a balloon effect. The sleeves also feature a balloon effect, achieved by working a set of invisible decreases. The model in the picture is 169 cm tall and wears a size 2. **LEVEL** Intermediate (2/3) **YARN** 10 (11, 11, 12, 12) (12, 13, 13, 14) skeins of ,Field’ by Gregoria Fibers (50g = 120 yards/110 m) (43% linen, 37% cotton and 20% silk). For the sample we used ́Field’ in colourway “Fog”. The piece is knitted with one thread. Alternative yarn: same yardage for Sandnes Line (53% cotton, 33% viscose and 14% linen). **NEEDLES** 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for main body. 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for neckband and ribbing. **GAUGE** 21 stitches x 40 rounds = 10 cm / 4” on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles in pattern stitch in the round after blocking. **SIZES** 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) This sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 35 cm / 13.6” of positive ease at bust.
