Shophouse Tee

Inspired by decorative features of traditional shophouses in Singapore. The cable design on the front reflects geometric lines of metal grilles, timber shutters and balustrades. The lace design on the back is inspired by the beauty and function of decorative air vents and floor tiles. Like how shophouses have been designed with function and comfort in mind for the tropical climate, Shophouse Tee keeps the same design principles for comfortable wear through the warm months. It is then worked flat to shape the back and shoulders. The back neck band joins seamlessly with the front neck finishing as stitches are picked up from the shoulders to work the front. Below armholes, the pullover is worked in the round to the hem. Stitches are picked up around the armholes, then the sleeve is worked in the round with a box pleat detail above the cuff.
