Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a shawl that I created during a trip to this very beautiful city. The semicircular shape recalls the layout of the city with its concentric canals, while the yarn overs evoke the lights that illuminate the city and make it so warm at night. The shawl is knitted in stockinette stitch with yarn overs and it ends with an icord edging. Amsterdam est un châle que j’ai créé lors d’un voyage dans cette très belle ville. La forme semi-circulaire rappelle la disposition de la ville avec ses canaux concentriques tandis que les jetés de plus en plus nombreux évoquent les lumières qui illuminent la ville et la rendent si chaleureuse à la nuit tombée. Le châle se tricote en jersey avec des jetés et se termine par une bordure en i-cord.
