**SUNNY SIDE CAP** *A knitted cap* Size: One size (54-58 cm) Gauge: 20 sts = 10 cm Needles: 3-4.5 mm circular needles, 40 cm cable or longer Material: For a thicker, more structured cap: 70 g Sandnes Duo (50 g = 115 m) **AND** 50 g Isager Trio 2 (50 g = 175 m) *OR* 50 g Sandnes Tynn Line (50 g = 220 m) For a thinner, less structured cap: 70 g Sandnes Line (50 g = 110 m) *OR* Drops Belle (50 g = 120 m) *OR* Svarta Fåret Cecilia (50 g = 110 m) *…or yarn that gives the same gauge!* **About the pattern:** Sunny Side Cap is a knitted cap with a tie in the back to adjust the size. You start off with a provisional cast on and then work back and forth from the forehead towards the back of the head. After that you pick up and knit a brim along the edge before you pick up and knit stitches for the ties along the short sides of the brim. The brim is then folded double and sewn down on the inside. Finally you pick up and knit stitches along the front of the brim to make the screen. Even though the pattern is written as one size, it’s possible to alter the size by working with a differentgauge. You can do this by either using a thinner or thicker yarn, or just switching up the needle size. Fx, if you’re knitting the cap with 22 sts per 10 cm you’ll get a cap that’ll fit a toddler. Först görs en provisorisk uppläggning varifrån du arbetar fram och tillbaka från pannan mot bakhuvudet. Därefter plockar du upp och stickar ett brätte, som du sedan plockar upp och stickar knytbanden ifrån. Brättet viks dubbelt mot insidan och sys fast. Avslutningsvis plockar du maskor mot pannan för att sticka skärmen. Även om mönstret är skrivet som one size, är det möjligt att sticka fler storlekar genom att använda sig av en annan stickfasthet. Du justerar detta genom att antingen använda ett tunnare eller tjockare garn, eller genom att byta storlek på stickan. Exempelvis, om du stickar kepsen med 22 m per 10 cm får du en keps som passar ett mindre barn. Om du istället vill sticka kepsen för ett huvudomfång över 58 cm rekommenderar jag att du stickar kepsen med 18-19 m per 10 cm istället för de avsedda 20 m per 10 cm.
