The Narrow Boat Blanket

The colourful design has been inspired by the folk art decoration on English narrow boats and canal barges. Since the Victorian era these boats were intricately painted in bright colours on a black background using floral themes and stripes. The background in parts of this blanket is Midnight Blue, rather than Black, but there is also an option for a version with a Cream background if preferred. A full yarn List is included, using the popular Stylecraft Special DK yarn. It can be tackled by any ability due to the basic crochet stitches used throughout and also the detailed step by step instructions, accompanied by lots of photos and diagrams.
