Overview The sweater is knit top-down using a raglan construction. To begin the ribbed neckline is cast on. Then short rows are worked to shape the neckline, for the bigger sizes there are some increases worked at this point. Raglan increases continue until the sweater reaches the desired size and then the sleeves and body are split. The body is worked in simple stockinett and finished off with a 2x2 rib and tubular cast off. The sleeves are worked in stockinett until they reach roughly elbow length at which point the lace pattern is worked. The sleeve is finished off with a fitted cuff at the wrist worked in 2x2 rib and cast off using tubular bind off. The whole sweater is then blocked and enjoyed for years to come.
