Pelma Shawl

**I absolutely love rectangular shawls!** This one was inspired by one of the sections in my [Erulissë Shawl][2] pattern. I loved the diamonds made with popcorns and I decided to make a rectangular shawl using those stitches. The pattern is FREE ON MY BLOG [HERE][1] or if you click on visit pattern website above. The pattern itself is really easy and works up super quick and the repetitive rows help you to relax more while crocheting. ***Special thanks to my testers:*** Jan Henley and Kerry Freeman **Difficulty:** Advanced Beginner/Intermediate **Finished Size:** 40 cm/15.5” wide 159 cm/62.5” long with fringes 141 cm/55.5” long without fringes **Materials needed:** • 3.5 mm (E) size hook • NOTE: If you crochet loosely I advise you to use a 3 mm (5/0) size hook • 1 Scheepjes Whirl (I used Lemon Cassis Cream shade) • or approximately 1094 yards/ 1000 meters of fingering weight yarn • Yarn needle for weaving in ends • Scissors • Stitch markers (optional) • **NOTE: Blocking is essential to enhance the lace patternwork of your shawl and to ensure that your edges are straight** Also, there are ***two border options*** if you are not a big fan of fringes! **US terms** used throughout.
