Camp Pullover

A breezy soft pullover designed for easy summer knitting. Worked from the top down in the round with short row neck shaping all the parts that require concentration happen in the very beginning. Once you're through the yoke its just smooth sailing (stockinette stitch) 'till the edging. I chose Magpie Solstice DK weight for its unique fiber blend and worked it at a very relaxed gauge. If substituting yarns look for worsted weight yarns that produce a fabric you at a gauge of 17-18 stitches/4"/10cm FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (34, 38, 42) (46, 50, 54) (58, 62, 66)” around chest at underarm (19, 19 ½, 20 ½) (21 ½, 23 23 ½) (25 ½, 26, 27 ¼)” from right front cast on to right neck edge. Shown in size 42, worn with 6” of positive ease. Selecting the correct amount of ease is personal.Please choose a size based on your own preferences, personal style or comfort- if you're not sure what size to choose measure a favorite sweatshirt across the chest and choose the sizes that is closest. This pullover works in a range anywhere from 2 to 10” of ease depending on your style. MATERIALS (900, 1000, 1100) (1200, 1350, 1500) (1650, 1800, 2000) yards worsted weight yarn Shown here Magpie Fibers Solstice (50% domestic super wash wool, 25% domestic cotton; 25% silk 300yd [100 m]/100 g): ‘Mesa’) (3, 4, 4,) (4, 5, 5) (6, 6, 7) skeins. The pullover is worked in at a very loose, open gauge. If substituting yarn look for worsted weight yarns *to match gauge*. Yardage amounts are approximate. Needles US 8/5mm: circular 16” and 24” or longer, and a set of 4 or 5 DPN for sleeve cuffs. US 6/4 mm 16” and 24” or longer for body and a set of 4 or 5 DPN for sleeves. Notions required 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle. Gauge 17 stitches x 26 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch on larger needles Adjust needle size to obtain gauge NOTES The yoke is worked from the top down in the round with eyelet increases down the elongated raglan line. After all the increases are completed the body and sleeves are separated at the underarm and worked down in the round.
