Granny Square Blanket

This is a pattern for a two-color granny square baby blanket, made with worsted weight (category 4, aran) yarn and size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook. The finished blanket measures approximately 30 by 30 inches. About 650 yard of color A and 420 yards of color B yarn is needed for this size. I used 100% polyester yarn, but 100% acrylic yarn will work too. The specific yarn that I used is Feels Like Butta by Lion Brand (five skeins, 500 grams). You can easily make this blanket bigger, but you'll need more yarn. The pattern is reversible; it looks the same on both sides. The skill level is intermediate.
