Circle & Square

You start with an oval, working in the round and end with a square, all completely seamless and without any purl stitches. The unusual con- struction looks especially attractive in a self-striping or gradient yarn. The fabric is doubled in the spots that count (ears!), so it’s perfect for icy-cold winter days. Work it in a fingering-weight yarn or choose the yarn you like – the size is adaptable to the wearer’s head circumference. I have chosen the super soft "Lazy Lion" sock yarn by Kremke Soul Wool (available in [Strickmich! Shop][1]), but the pattern is adaptable to other yarn weights and gauges. This pattern uses magic loop and a two-sided cast-on for the first few rounds, both of which are explained in a video linked in the pattern. There's also a video about the joining process. Die besondere Konstruktion kommt in einem Garn mit Farbverlauf besonders schön zur Geltung. Und weil das Gestrick an den entscheidenden Stellen (Ohren!) doppelt gelegt wird, ist diese originelle Mütze genau das richtige für eiskalte Wintertage! Anpassbar an den Kopfumfang und auch mit anderen Garnstärken und Maschenproben strickbar. Ich habe die Mütze aus der superweichen "Lazy Lion" von Kremke Soul Wool gestrickt (erhältlich hier im [Strickmich! Shop][3]), die Anleitung ist aber an andere Garnstärken und Maschenproben anpassbar.
