The Hugging Monster

Written in US crochet terminology! **Materials:** You will need yarn, three 8mm safety eyes, a 4.00 mm crochet hook, a 2.50 mm crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, Velcro, and poly-fill for stuffing. You may also need white and pink felt for the mouth and claws. Optionally you will need Instamorph Moldable Plastic to make the teeth. **Let’s talk yarn!** I used one skein of Red Heart Super Saver Retro Stripes for this project. I used a small amount of Big Twist Value in the color lavender for the horns. I used Lion Brand Feels Like Butta in the color white for the eyes. Feel free to use any colors or brands you would like if they are #4 worsted weight yarn. **Abbreviations:** -Ch: chain -Sl st: slip stitch -Sc: single crochet -Inc: increase -Dec: decrease -Blo: back loop only **Notes:** I would consider this a beginner friendly pattern. It is made entirely by single crochet. You must know how to increase, decrease, and crochet in the back loops only.
