*Letho We was developed after some friends told me they would love to wear a cardigan like the Letho original, if only it was shaped a little different. Most of these friends are men, and although the changes made reflect their wishes, I don’t think this is a very gender specific pattern, but neither is the original, in my opinion.
This version has less positive ease, the sleeves have less of a dolman shape and smaller cuffs, it has a longer standard length and added buttonholes.
The features that make this cardigan stand out from the crowd are still there, like the cool welts and slip stitch colorwork.
Choose the shape that reflects your style and preferences most, and rock your very own Letho!*
**Note**: *the schematics of both Letho (original) and Letho We are added, so you can compare, and choose the version that suits your style and preferences most.*
**CONSTRUCTION**
Letho has an interesting, seamless construction, with cool, decorative details.
The cardigan is worked sideways, in two halves, starting at the brioche sleeves cuffs to the center of the back. The body is constructed using a double sided provisional cast-on for an invisible side seam. The pattern contains a **phototutorial** on this technique.
Once the right and the left half of the cardigan are worked they are joined by a three needle bind off on the outside. The stitches for the body ribbing are then picked up and worked down to the lower edge of the cardigan. After finishing the ribbing the colorwork, the welts and a brioche collar are worked around the fronts and back neck.
Both the instructions for left front or right front buttonhole placement are given in the pattern.
