Woolly Bowl

Single-loop cables in contrasting yarn form a pleasing geometric design on this small and sturdy crochet bowl. A fun introduction to stranded cables! Main color yarn is held double; contrast color yarn is held single and carried within stitches when not in use. You'll need about 90 yards for the main color, and 10 yards of contrast color yarn. Note: if you're considering substituting a heavier yarn, be aware that a worsted weight yarn held double behaves differently than a bulky yarn held single. For better stability, this bowl is worked at a tight gauge, using a smaller hook than you might expect for yarn held double. Using a heavier yarn may yield a floppier bowl.
