Roly Poly Pill Bug

First of all I would like to note that this crocheted Roly Poly Pill Bug has many details to sew together. I wanted it to be flexible as much as possible, so I could not crochet it solid. Sewing it is not difficult but requires patience and attention to assemble everything symmetrically. This is PDF file in English, uses US crochet terms. File consists of 9 pages, has a lot of helpful photos and links to the videos to help in assembling. Size of a finished toy will depend on the yarn you choose, but if to use required materials it will be about 7 - 8 inches length. Skills required: magic circle (or magic ring), crocheting in spiral, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, invisible decrease, also basic sewing Required Materials: • Yarn. I used Gazzal Baby Cotton (50g and 160m) (sport weight) yarn: 1 skein of dark gray color for the shells, 1 skein of light gray color or beige for the body, head antennae and the legs. • Hook – 1.75 mm • Hollowfibre filler for stuffing • Tapestrty needle, scissors • Safety eyes (diameter of eyes I used is 13 mm), of course you can choose smaller or bigger • Pins • Marker (I used another color piece of yarn) Abbreviations: rnd – round mc –magic circle sc – single crochet st - stitch inc – increase dec - decrease [ ] – work instructions within brackets as many times as directed Do not copy, post or resell the pattern.
