Pattern will be available 7/21/2020 *The Assookinakii cowl was designed for those times in life when you need a healing and meditative knit to put your worries, dreams, or hopes into. Assookinakii (ass-s-oo-kin-uh-k-EE) means “healer” in the Blackfeet language. During times of unrest in my life I often lose my ‘knitting mojo’ and I need a straightfoward yet intriguing project to get my creative energy back on track. Through knitting we mend what troubles our hearts. Assookinakii is made up of a simple mosaic pattern, knit inside out. We used The Farmers Daughter Fiber’s Soka’pii, a fingering weight bouncy Rambouillet and Spincycle Yarn’s Dyed In the Wool which gives so much life and excitement to this design. We used a no fuss technique to line the cowl with Oh Dang!, an incredibly soft Silk and Suri Alpaca Blend.
