Koora Sweater

The oversize Koora sweater is a lovely basic sweater that is very versatile. The sweater is worked seamlessly top down with raglan increases without actual raglan-stitches in between. First, the sweater is worked flat, whereafter the neckline is shaped with increases at the row’s beginning and end and then in rounds. The balloon shaped sleeves are worked seamlessly top down, too. I-cords form decorative hems. The neckband is worked from picked up stitches around the neckline and finished separately. Koora sweater can be worked in two lengths as well as two different sleeve lengths. Recommended needles Circular needles 3,5 mm, 40-50 cm and min. 100 cm long, 4 mm, 40-50 cm and min 100 cm long. Supplies Stitch markers, 2 stitch markers in contrasting colour, 2 stitch holder or waste yarn, wool needle, measuring tape, scissors. Gauge, washed and blocked 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch = 18 sts x 28 rows on needle 4 mm. Knit a gauge swatch first and adjust the needle size, if necessary. ______________________________ Der oversize geschnittene Koora Sweater wird in einem Stück von oben nach unten mit Raglanzunahmen gestrickt. Zunächst wird in Reihen gearbeitet und der Ausschnitt mit Zunahmen am Reihenanfang und -ende geformt. Dann wird in Runden gestrickt. Die Ballonärmel werden auf einem Nadelspiel oder mit der Magic-Loop-Methode in Runden gearbeitet. I-Cords bilden die dekorativen Saumabschlüsse. Das Halsbündchen wird aus den Maschen des Halsausschnitts aufgenommen und separat gestrickt. Der Koora Sweater kann in zwei Längen und mit 2 verschiedenen Ärmellängen gearbeitet werden. Materialien Maschenmarkierer, 2 kontrastfarbene Maschenmarkierer, 2 Maschenhalter oder Stücke Restgarn, Wollnadel, Maßband, Schere. Maschenprobe, gewaschen und gespannt 10 x 10 cm glatt re = 18 M x 28 R mit Nadel 4 mm. Stricke zuerst eine Maschenprobe und passe die Nadelstärke gegebenenfalls an.
