Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo Socks

There are moments in our lives that feel like magic. The best part about those moments, are that you never know when they are going to happen. Recently, I watched the live action movie of 'Cinderella' with my daughter, and we were both captivated. As we watched the film a second and then a third time, a new design began to form within my mind. Every element of this elegant pair of socks would reflect the moments in the story of Cinderella, that made our hearts sing. And so, my 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo' socks were born. They begin with a ribbing that reflects the two different lives of Cinderella. Then, travelling down the leg and foot of the sock are pretty butterflies, just like the ones on Cinderellla's magical ballgown. The French Heel represents the trip her father took, and the gift he brought her back. Finally, my Cottage Toe signifies the beautiful home where she grew up. *This wonderful pattern came to me in a moment of magic, shared with my daughter. The design is written for the magic loop technique but other knitting methods can of course be used.
