The stitch pattern of the top part of the shawl is representing river locks, a mechanism that is used to raise and lower boats between different levels of water in the river. Then the shawl flows into an old favorite of many crocheters, Feather And Fan pattern, that unmistakenly resembles the ocean waves. The shawl is designed as a 1 or 2 skein project and has a separate knit version as well.* Skill level: beginner to intermediate Finished dimensions: Small: about 49 in / 124.5 cm at the top edge, and about 21.5 in / 55 cm from top to bottom.
