I wanted a simple, sleek and above all FITTED fingerless glove to crochet in a stitch pattern that was decorative without being lacy or ornate.... at a loss to find a pattern like this for free I came up with these. **Summary**: A quick and simple pattern with easy shaping to give a sleek fitted fingerless glove. The glove is worked in the round for minimal finishing and to create long lazy spirals of stitches around the glove in combination with the herringbone half double crochet stitch. This gives a dense warm material with a simple decorative pattern that is easily enhanced by using a variagated yarn. **Additional Info**: This project takes about 4-8 hours to complete depending on your mileage making it an excellent quick gift. Any sock yarn will work well in this pattern as long as the yarn has some stretch to it. Using a heavier yarn (sport or dk) will result in very warm gloves. **What's Working into the chain?** A few people have contacted me about line 23 of the pattern that calls to 'work into the chain' (basically slip 6 stitches).
