*My Mom gets really cold. Even in the summer, even in the Argentine summer, which is really hot... My mom is still cold and will wear sweaters, scarves, socks and even jackets. This January I am taking her to visit the North East of the USA, and you can imagine how worried I am about her reaction to the cold... So I designed this hat for her to be extra warm, especially around her ears. We'll be wearing matching hats! The color of the yarn I used is reminiscent to everything I've seen and read about Boston... No code > needed. **SIZE** One size: The hat as designed will fit most women, men and even older children. Because of the ribbed body, it can accommodate many sized heads but the large cable repeat means that it's not advisable to change the stitch count. To make adjustments to the size, I recommend either using thinner yarn and smaller needles or larger yarn and larger needles. You may want to swatch the cable panel with your chosen yarn to see what your gauge is. **MATERIALS** Yarn: You will need 2 skeins of DK 100% SW Merino by Barnyarnd Knits (100% Merino - 100g / 231 yards) or 345 yards of DK weight yarn. The sample was knit using colorway River Walk. Needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) circular needles. Other notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle. **GAUGE** 29 sts and 35 rounds to 4” (10 cm) in cabled pattern un-stretched, using US 3 (3.25 mm) needles, after blocking.
