Diagonal Waves Cloth

A simple knitted cotton cloth - face cloth, dish cloth or cleaning cloth, based on the Chinese Waves Cloth pattern but knit diagonally so you can use any weight yarn and knit until it is the size you want or until half your yarn is used up. Cotton or bamboo yarn is recommended for cloths but you can also use wool / acrylic or a blend to make squares for blankets. I originally posted this pattern to the KnitList in 1996. Back then knitters all over the world communicated via this email list. I lost the pattern but recently discovered it in the KnitList archives. I have made some adjustments and corrected some errors that were in the original pattern.
