Summer Daze Cover-Up

It's time for those summer beach + pool days! Make sure you look your best with this fun (and easy) cover-up that is sure to make you the envy of the summer. Feminine with the lace but modern with its lines, this is the perfect companion to wear while you're sipping on a fruity drink (with one of those little umbrella in it of course). Kick off those flip-flops and enjoy the summer daze! In order to make this cover-up, two identical panels are crocheted (which make the left and right side of the full piece). Then it's just seaming them together, crochet an edging for the neckline, armholes, and bottom and finish it off by crocheting a cord for a more fitted look. It's that easy! This pattern is perfect for customizing as well and I welcome you to alter it for that perfect fit to you! Instructions on how to change it based on your preferred length and bust are provided. Adhering to the pattern as is will result in the following measurements : Width : 22 inches Bust : 44 inches Length : 31 inches Gauge : 15 hdc = 4” Matching the gauge precisely is not necessary but will ensure you get the measurements (specifically length) stated above. This is made with Lion Brands Comfy Cotton Blend but works well with any lighter DK yarn. Cotton blends are recommended since they make for a lighter cover-up on those hotter days. Please take into account if you will be altering the size when purchasing your yarn. As is, you will need 3 skeins of that specific brand (but use about 2.5 in total adhering to the pattern as is).
