**Skill Level:** Easy This pattern is also available in the [**"Gone Fishing" e-book**][1]. “Loaves and Fishes” is a customizable towel, placemat or runner with a fish design that expands and multiplies. Simple repeats allow you to change the width, fish length and/or the number of fish (expanding on the [“**Shore Lunch Cloth**”][2] design). The pattern is worked in mosaic garter stitch with two contrasting colors of yarn (one color strand alternating two rows at a time with knit & slipped stitches) Choose contrasting solid colors or try a semi-solid tonal yarn for one of the colors. Try your camera’s “black & white” setting to look at your yarns in grayscale and check the contrast between your selection(s).
