**Please read ALL the information below carefully before purchasing this pattern.** Chiral introduces an element of asymmetry to the Lateralis construction with leaves adorning just one end of each of the distinctive arches. This gives it a more organic feel, while still providing balance and perfect geometric harmony. The pattern is written for three sizes, with sizing achieved through gauge, and includes tutorials for German Short Rows and Kitchener Stitch. Featuring short row colourwork, each of the Lateralis Hats is knit sideways and grafted. Unlike other sideways knit Hats, these patterns aren’t constructed from panels, and they will lead you on an altogether different adventure. The pattern is provided as a map for the short rows - a directional chart - that will help guide you through the pattern. **Yarn** Yarn A: 148yd/135m; Yarn B: 19yd/17m 61yd/56m for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in Garter St. DK weight; plied yarn **Needles & Notions** Single 3mm (3.25mm, 3.5mm) 60cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge Two circular needles, one or two sizes smaller 2 stitch markers Tapestry needle **Sample details** Shown in RiverKnits BFL DK in shades Sommerliche Nachthimmel & Shroom (246yd/225m per 100g; 100% BFL) Shown in size 22in/56cm on model with 22.75in/57.75cm circumference head **Note** Sizing in this pattern is achieved through gauge.
