Papageno

Papageno is the birdcatcher in ‘The Magic Flute’, opera by Wolfgang A. Mozart. He has a playful, somewhat stubborn, childlike character that gives a lively touch to this eternal story of good and evil. There’s no difficulty finding the birdcatcher in these cheerful socks. I once saw the pattern motif on a commercial sweater and adapted it for the smaller frame of these socks.
