Barbie Santa Claus Dress

This is my crochet creation for Christmas 2017. The dress fits a 29 cm [11 ½ inch] Barbie (new model); it is worked back and forth until the hips of the doll (turning the work at the end of each row) then it is worked in round. The hat is worked in round, from bottom to top, it measures fit about 11 cm [4,33 inches] circumference. The belt is worked back and forth and the buckle is embroidered with the Lurex thread. Materials: Yarn: Mercerized Egyptian cotton; weight per ball: 50 g [1.76 ounces], yardage per ball: 225 m [246 yds] 1 ball (50 g): White 1 ball (50 g): Red 1 ball (50 g): Black Silver lamé to be joined to the White thread Approximately 20 cm [7,87 inch] of LUREX Gold-colored thread 3 Snap fasteners, diameter: 7 mm [0,27 inch] Thread for sewing (white, red, black) Gauge: 9 sc х 9 rows = 2,5 x 2,5 cm [1 x 1 inches] At the end of the holidays you only need to remove the hat and the belt to get a perfect cocktail dress!
