**Basketweave Throw** **Description** A simple reversible basketweave throw in large 8-stitch by 12-row blocks, framed by garter borders and a slipped-stitch chain selvedge. The oversized blocks were chosen so the texture still reads in a heathered yarn, where small knit-purl patterns disappear. **Finished Size** About 37" wide by 50" long, blocked **Yarn** Worsted weight, about 1,800 yards. Sample uses Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% super fine alpaca, 50% Peruvian wool), 219 yds / 100 g, 9 skeins. **Needles** US 8 / 5.0 mm, 36" circular, worked flat **Gauge** 20 sts and 26 rows = 4" in stockinette, washed and relaxed **Notions** Two stitch markers, tapestry needle, kitchen scale **Skill Level** Easy. Knit and purl only. **Construction** Worked flat in one piece from the bottom up. Garter borders at all four edges.
