The Staple Headscarf

The Staple Headscarf is a knitted triangle scarf that you can wear tied under the chin like a babushka, or loose around your neck as a cozy scarf. It's worked flat from the point up to the long edge in a simple 1x1 rib, with two strands held together for a soft, fuzzy fabric. Increases at each side shape the triangle, and the pattern is written out row by row with a stitch key and a M1 how-to. A customization note shows you how to make it deeper or shallower, and there are blocking tips for ribbed mohair. Finished size (after blocking): long edge approx. 40 inches (102 cm), depth approx. 16 inches (41 cm) Yarn used: Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (lace weight) held with Cascade Heritage (fingering weight), approx. 500 yards (457 m) of each.
