Essential Kids Sweater

This is a pattern for a simple, basic sweater for children in sizes from newborns to age 12. Instant digital download: PDF file (English only). I used Drops Merino Extra Fine yarn (DK, 11 wpi) to knit the samples. You can use any yarn that gives a similar result in gauge. Gauge: 21 stitches × 28 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 inches) in stockinette stitch using 3.75 mm needles. Needles circular: 3.25 mm (US 3) and 3.75 mm (US 5) - 40 and 60 cm (14 and 24 inches) or double-pointed needles. Use whichever needles you find comfortable for knitting in the round.
