Briarwood Wrap Top

Inspiration lies everywhere, with this piece I hoped to capture the romantic nature of being in the woods in autumn and early fall. Something light weight, flowy, with enough weight to add a little ‘something’ to your outfit. This specific design was a little experiment playing with the drape, sizing and increases of the stitch pattern. The stitch pattern is a simple mesh-type pattern that follows and carries weight differently with each type of yarn you try! Experiment and find the one you love the most. I loved this design so much that I decided to expand the this top into a collection of a couple of designs. If you love this piece, make sure to check out the other designs as well! The length of the wrap top has been designed to land just past the waist line so when it is tied at the waist there is some drape at the bottom. The finished length reflects standard back-to-waist measurements from CYC’s website with the extra length taken into account. There is a little wiggle room to add or remove length without changing the construction of your front panels. I recommend comparing chest width, your shoulder width and your waist width to ensure the size you choose to create will fit you the way you like (see reference photo below). The following finished measurements are based on lay-flat measurements. If you’d like to make the cardigan longer, pleasure make sure you have enough yarn to do so. CURRENTLY BEING TESTED
