Halla Sweater is worked seamlessly from top down in Chevron Rib pattern, creating bold, eye-catching texture throughout. The shoulders, worked sideways in Stockinette stitch, bring a smooth contrast that gives the upper body an elegant, flowing shape. The work begins with the shoulder section, worked sideways from one shoulder to the other. Stitches for the front and back are then picked up across the edges of the shoulder section and worked separately to the underarms. Front and back are then joined and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round to the cuffs without shaping. With no edgings to finish, all that remains is weaving in the ends and blocking. The Chevron Rib pattern is both charted and written out. Halla means frost in Finnish **PATTERN INFORMATION SIZES** XS/S (M/L) XL/2XL (3XL) 4XL Bust circumference of the finished sweater: 43 ¾ (50) 56 ¼ (62 ½) 62 ½” / 109.5 (125) 141 (156.5) 156.5 cm.
