The bonnet is worked from the front brim towards the back-neck using either 1 strand of Merino or Cotton Merino, or 2 strands of Compatible Cashmere held together throughout. You start working the ribbed face band back and forth before continuing with the first part of the charted lace pattern. Afterwards, you cast on more stitches and join work to continue the second part of the lace pattern in the round. Throughout, the bonnet is shaped with charted increases and decreases, and it is finished with i-cord ties and an i-cord edge along the back-neck. When working this bottom edge and ties, you first pick up stitches for the back-neck edge. Afterwards, you knit the first tie, then the i-cord edge along the bottom of the bonnet before you finish with the second tie. **The Olive pattern is charted only.**
