Minnesota Frost Sweater

The Frost Sweater is a colorful, cozy drop shoulder sweater knit from the top down. This design pays tribute to the Minnesota State flag & women’s hockey team using the intarsia method. First you’ll cast on for the back, and shape the shoulders using short rows. Then you’ll continue on until you reach the underarms, and place those sts on a holder. After picking up for each shoulder and shaping the neckline, you’ll work both front shoulders together while at the same time working the star motif. Then you’ll work flat until you reach the underarms, as you did for the back. Then you’ll join in the round, and at the same time continue working your intarsia triangle! The body is then finished with ribbing. Sts are then picked up for the sleeves and worked in the round. Lastly, you’ll pick up sts for the neckline and work in ribbing to complete the sweater.
