Dapple

Dapple is a large hand towel knit in sport-weight 100% cotton yarn from the bottom up. I used Purl Soho's Cotton Pure on a Cone in the color Cadmium Red for my sample. If you are using hanks of this yarn instead of the cone version, I would recommend purchasing two hanks to ensure you don't run out. The pattern relies on knit and purl stitches to create its unique texture, while simple eyelet stitches give the piece a surprisingly light and airy texture. The easy slip stitch selvedge creates neat, straight edges that match the optional hanging icord loop at the top of the towel. This is a great pattern for any skill level, and offers a wonderful opportunity for adventurous beginners to become acquainted with yarn overs and eyelet knitting.
