Your search ends here! This hat has a spiral design that extends seamlessly all the way to the edge of the brim. Millinery wire and a joiner are used for the brim. If you make a brim that is 3 1/2 inches wide, it keeps its shape even without the wire, but adding the wire is highly recommended. A link to purchase the wire and joiners is provided in the pattern. It comes very cheap at 95 cents per yard. I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Delux yarn for these hats and loved it. Working with cotton yarn generally hurts my hands but not this one. It is a little thinner than Lily Sugar n' Cream and seemed just the right gauge for this project. You can finish the hat in just a day and have a Sunsational sun hat ;).
