August Wattle Hat

**In Australia**, the Southern Hemisphere, Winter for us is June through to August. By July we are all dreaming of the warmer months, and it is the **wattle** which **comes out in early August which ignites the desire for Spring**. Wattles are a gorgeous yellow, and so are welcome sight on a cold winter day. ****Wattles grow all over Australia** and there are over 1000 species. So it’s only fitting that they are our **national floral emblem**. It is also very close to our hearts, because its our national sporting colours of **'green and gold'**. So if **you're an Aussie**, ex-pat, know one, want to be one , or just fell in love with it (just like me!); why not make one or two (or a few!) This hat features **Wattle Lace** which gives the hat its name and when it knitted in a **beautiful yellow hue**, you can truly appreciate its alluring nature. Available in **2 sizes**: Small/Medium Adult/Teen (54-56cm/21.25-22"), and Large/Extra Large (58-60cm/22.8-23.6") approximately. When you knit with a stretchy cast on you are sure to find a size just right for you. (My hairdresser has trouble finding a hat that fits her perfectly (61cm, don't tell her I said that).
