stickjournalen's headscarf ver 2

This headscarf is worked from top to bottom (wide to narrow) in a lace pattern. You begin by knitting the triangular scarf. After binding off, a cord is crocheted, continued along the cast-on edge of the scarf, and then extended into a cord on the opposite side, forming the ties. The scarf will be 51 cm wide and 25 cm high. If you wish to have a bigger scarf you can add more stitches, but make sure that the total number of stitches is divisible by 14, plus two edge stitches, so that the center of the scarf aligns correctly. What distinguishes version 2 from the earlier pattern is the gauge and the size: ver 2 is 11 cm wider but approximately the same length. Ver 2 is knitted in a thinner silk yarn and has a softer drape compared to ver 1, which is knitted in cotton and is slightly stiffer. The lace pattern looks slightly different in the two yarns but is exactly the same. The last two pictures shows the difference between ver 1 (white) and ver 2 (beige).
