It was designed to use as little yarn as possible, with a close fit and a contiguous shoulder construction to minimize cutting of yarn. Designed for spring/autumn, the cardigan is meant to be worn open and hence comes with a button-less double knit band. **Difficulty level:** Advanced beginner. Pattern involves increases and double knitting. **Garment Bust Circumferences** Sizes: 1, 2, 3 (4, 5, 6) \[7, 8, 9\] Centimetres: 80, 87, 98 (107, 113, 131) \[136, 149, 162\] Inches: 31.5, 34.25, 38.5 (42.25, 44.5, 51.5) \[53.5, 58.75, 63.75\] Minimal Cardigan is designed to have about 2 to 7 cm (1 to 3 inches) of positive ease around the bust. The sample shown was knit in size 2, modelled with 6 cm (2½ inches) of positive ease. **Suggested Yarn** Oh Folks Co Cloud Cotton, sample is in Silver Lining 60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic 200 metres / 100 grams, worsted weight **Yarn substitution** The suggested yarn is discontinued but any cotton/acrylic blend, worsted or heavy DK weight yarn can be easily substituted. Substituting with wool/animal fibres will make the garment less drapey. Row gauge is also likely to be compromised.
