Bon Bon Top

Bon Bon top is an all over textured fitted summer top with a high neckline. The textures are made mostly in ribs with occasional smoking stitch rounds. Therefore, it is entirely simpler to knit than it looks, yet still remains effortlessly elegant and beautiful. The smocking stitch pattern was inspired by nostalgic classic bon bons as the name suggests. Armhole edges are double knitted for a neat finish and the pattern offers two different neckline finishing. --Construction-- The top is worked top down seamlessly and has some German short rows for a better fit around the back and the shoulders. Shoulder panel stitches are picked up from the back panel and joinned for the front panel. the back, shoulders, and front panels are worked flat before the body joining. The body is worked in a round. The pattern gives two options for the underarm pattern ; stockinette or 2x2 rib. The neckline is knitted in 1x1 rib and armhole edge bands are made by double knitting.
