Hamar

Hamar pattern is a traditional Icelandic wool sweater pattern (Lopapeysa). Hamar lopapeysa is knitted with Álafosslopi which makes it thick, warm and super cozy for the fall and winter. Hamar sweater is knitted from the bottom up in the round, if you are used to knitting top down, the pattern is easy to follow the other way around if you prefer. Circular needles: 7mm and 6mm, 40 and 60/80 cm (depending on your size) Double-pointed needles: 7mm and 6mm Note that the pattern is knitted in the round, so it‘s good to knit the swatch in the round as well. NOTE: I knit quite tightly so you may need to use a smaller needle size. I recommend knitting a swatch to test the tension.
