도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
These are (large) men’s size mittens designed according to the Norwegian Selbu tradition. They are knitted two-stranded in the round, with gusset for the thumb. Decreases are made in the sides, giving them the characteristic pointed tip.
Basic increases and decreases are used, as well as SK2P. The pattern is charted. All techniques are explained in the pattern with lots of photos.
Traditionally, Selbu mittens were usually made in black and white wool yarn, and the motifs often depicted things from nature or daily life, like snow flakes, bugs, flowers, or animals.
**Gauge & measurements:**
32 sts & 32 r per 10 cm (4”)
Total length: 31.5 cm ( 12.4”)
Circumference hand: 25 cm (9.8”)
**Materials:**
* Yarn: Finull by Rauma Garn (2 ply 100% wool, 175 metres per 50 grams) in two colours. Main colour: approx. 50 grams Contrast colour: approx. 40 grams. NOTE that gauge is higher than recommended for this yarn. This is to get a denser and thereby warmer fabric.
* Needles: 2.5 mm dpns
You will also need a darning needle for weaving in ends and a piece of scrap yarn or a stitch holder for the holding the thumb stitches.
Pattern is in English, German, and Norwegian.
The German translation is made using knitlingo.com.
