Lace Headband

The **Lace Headband** is a quick summer accessory which is great for using up your scrap yarn. **Yarn**: You can use any yarn you like. But the headband's width will vary depending on the yarn you choose. The beige sample is knitted in Queensland Collection Coastal Cotton Fine (color 2004), using 12 g of yarn. The white sample is knitted in 2 strands of Sandnes Garn Tynn Line (color 1015), using 16 g of yarn. **Needles**: Use the recommended needle size for the chosen yarn. The beige sample is knitted on 3 mm needles. The white sample is knitted on 4 mm needles. **Gauge**: Gauge is not critical for this headband. Just make sure you like the fabric and drape. **Size**: You can knit any length you like. The beige sample is 4 cm wide. The white sample is 5 cm wide. Both headbands are 43 cm long (i-cords not included). **Construction**: The headband begins with an i-cord, then increases are worked to form a pointed tip. After that, the headband is worked flat in the lace pattern. Once the desired length is reached, the decreases form a second pointed tip. It is then finished with a second i-cord.
