The Hulda Top

**Overview of the work** The Hulda top is a full-length spagetti strap tank top with a fold-over hem. It’s a perfect basic for either on it’s own or layering, meaning that it can be worn year round. It’s knitted from bottom up. The body is shaped with increases and decreases, and the bust is shaped with shadow wrap short rows. Stitches are bound off at the armpits, and the cups are shaped with decreases. Finally, the fold-over edge is created, and the straps are worked with double knitting to finish the work. **Size guide** The top is intended to have approximately 20-25 cm of negative ease. This means that 20-25 cm is deduced from your body measurements. Upon beginning the project, measure yourself to make sure which size will fit the best. **Sizes** The top comes in 7 sizes: XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL, which are intended to fit bust measurements of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-105) 105-110 cm (or 29,5-31,5 (31,5-33,5) 33,5-35,5 (35,5-37,5) 37,5-39,5 (39,5-41,5) 41,5-43,5 inches). For example, if your bust measurement is 87 cm, you should knit a size S. If you want a looser fit, size up. Note that the indicated fit is reached only if the correct gauge is obtained. *The pattern has been size graded up until 4XL. Below are listed some alternative yarns. * Drops Belle (50 g = 120 m) * Svarta Fåret Cecilia (50 g = 110 m) Note that yardage hasn’t been calculated for the alternative yarns and might differ from the recommended amount. **Difficulty level** This top is intended for intermediate level, since it includes short row shaping and abbreviations. You are expected to be familiar with the most common knitting techniques (e.g. cast on, cast off, picking up stitches). More advanced techniques (increases, decreases, short rows) will be explained in detail.
