STRANDSLAG sock

For now this pattern is ONLY available to qualified racers in Lap 2 of the **Supersock World Championship 2026** competition. AFTER this competition the pattern will be available to all on ravelry. **STRANDSLAG** - follow the rhythm of the beach *Strand* is Dutch for beach, and *strandslag* is Dutch for beach access. Stranded knitting is the main technique used in these socks. The socks build upon Daphne's earlier pattern: ZILT cowl & cuffs. **Description** A pair of cuff down socks, with stranded colourwork allover, a different heelturn, and a cast on from a separate I-cord. The two stitch patterns reflect waves and their traces left in the sand. This design uses a total of three colours, and never more than two colours in one round. Thanks to the zigzags, the pattern is practically jog-less. The few marled sections represent the blurred transition between high and low tide, or the foam on top of the waves. **Sizes S - M - L** Finished circumference (approximately): 15.5 - 18 - 20.5 cm (6" - 7" - 8"). The sizes S - M - L (60 - 70 - 80 sts) of this stranded sock correspond roughly with stockinette sock sizes S - M - L (56- 64- 72 sts).
