There has been at least one striped sweater in Julia Wilken’s wardrobe since her early teenage years, making it her ultimate feel-good garment. Worked with two strands of laceweight yarn held together, Ink’s fabric is light and airy, while the stripes not only add visual interest but also make counting rows and picking up stitches easier. NOTES This striped sweater starts at the back of the shoulders with a Provisional Cast-On. Short rows on the shoulders form slightly sloping shoulders. The back is then split in two at the neck. The short rows continue while increases are worked for the front of the neckline. The stitches for the armholes are picked up along the armhole edge in a series of short rows. Stitches for the neckband are picked up along the edge of the neck and loosely cast off after a few rounds.
