The Frieze hat is worked in the round. It begins with a Tubular Cast-On for a clean, elastic edge, with a long-tail option provided. Three brim variations allow for different proportions, from a short, minimal edge to double or triple-folded brims for added warmth and structure. The crown is finished in a single color, giving the patterned band a defined frame and a balanced conclusion. Knit in a single strand of DK-weight yarn for sharp stitch definition, or combine fingering weight yarn with mohair, suri alpaca, or cashmere for a softer, gently diffused surface.
