The Tee

PATTERN The Tee is a feminine and elegant top with a clean aesthetic and a distinctive silhouette. The design features a relaxed fit across the bust and gradually tapers towards the waist and hips through decreases worked beneath the armholes, creating a flattering shape. The high ribbed neckline and wide ribbed edges at the body and armholes give the garment a refined and contemporary look. The Tee can be worked in either Merino or Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive, depending on the desired look and feel. Worked in Pure Silk, it becomes a lightweight and airy summer top. In Merino, it transforms into a soft and versatile wardrobe staple suitable for year-round wear. The Tee is worked from the top down. First, the back is worked flat in stockinette stitch. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, which are shaped using German Short Rows to create a beautiful shoulder line. The shoulders are joined to form the front, which is worked flat. The front and back are then joined, and the body is worked in the round while shaping decreases are worked beneath the armholes. Finally, ribbed edges are worked around the neckline and armholes. As The Tee is worked from the top down, the length can easily be adjusted to your preference. The body can be lengthened by working a longer ribbing at the lower edge.
