Unicorn Granny Square

This cute Unicorn Granny Square pattern makes a great accent on a baby blanket or any other project for unicorn lovers. You can make it for your own baby, as a thoughtful baby shower gift, or to sell at craft fairs.  **Materials Needed** Yarn in 3 contrasting colors: Color 1: # 4 Medium weight yarn for Unicorn head & ears Color 2: # 3 DK weight yarn for flowers + yellow for the horn Color 3: # 4 Medium weight yarn for granny square Black thread for the eyes I used: - Loops & Threads Impeccable Acrylic - Loops & Threads Heathered Tweed in Rose Quartz - Paintbox Yarns Simply DK for flowers and horn Crochet hook: 4.5 mm & 5.5 mm A tapestry needle A pair of scissors **Abbreviations** MC - Magic Circle (alternative to Magic Cirlce suggested in pattern) Ch = Chain sc = Single crochet hdc = half double crochet dc = Double crochet inc = increase = work 2 of these stitches into the same stitch of the previous round. dec = decrease = work 2 stitches together sl st = slip stitch st = Stitch sts = Stitches fo = Fasten off **Skill Level** Intermediate **Size** Granny Square = 20 cm * 20 cm (8") Unicorn head (including ears) = 15 cm high x 7.5 cm wide (6 " x 3") **Notes** You can make the pattern larger or smaller by either: changing the yarn weight and/or hook size. - Numbers at the end of each row (in brackets) indicate the number of final stitches in that row or round. - Granny Square: Ch 2 at the beginning of a round counts as a stitch. - Unicorn Head: Ch 1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch. - Please note that I use US crochet terms. ------------------------ This is NOT for a finished physical item.
