Heritage Slippers

Condon's Woolen Mills, in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, offered a limited number of their own patterns in their factory store. One was a slipper pattern that used their Bulky weight yarn, knit flat and sewn into shape. They were quick and easy to make. I have updated this pattern to incorporate felting. The felting makes them more durable and cozier. The piece is worked flat from the heel with an I cord edge. It is then joined mid-top of the foot and continued in the round. The slippers are sewn together at the back of the heel and felted in the washing machine to finish. Easy, quick and fun to make.
