If you've got some sport weight skeins in your stash that haven't found their project yet, this is it. The Tackle Box Tank uses small amounts of multiple colors, making it a satisfying and practical stash buster. An elegant shaped neckline and wide straps give it a polished look with real coverage. Construction is top-down and flat until you join at the underarms, with half brioche columns framing the edges and adding a subtle textural detail that elevates the simple stripe sequence. Double stockinette selvedge stitches finish the edges as you go. Stitches are picked up for a clean collar finish, but no additional bands or seaming are needed anywhere else. Nine sizes. Endless stripe combinations. One very good pocket. **FIT** This tank is designed to be worn with 1.5 – 2.25" / 4 – 5.5 cm of positive ease. The straps are wide enough to cover a bra and the armholes are shaped to sit close to the body without pulling. **YARN** Lavender Lune Sport Weight (100% Non-Superwash US Rambouillet) 185 yards / 168 meters / 56 grams. MC (Main Color): Moon 2 (2, 2, 3, 3) (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins CC1 (Contrast Color 1): Norway Lake 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 1) skeins CC2 (Contrast Color 2): Walker 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 2) skeins CC3 (Contrast Color 3): Olana 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins **OR substitute approximately** MC: 290 (320, 355, 385, 420) (450, 505, 540, 595) yards / 265 (295, 325, 350, 385) (410, 460, 495, 545) meters CC1: 90 (100, 110, 120, 130) (140, 155, 165, 180) yards / 85 (90, 100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150, 165) meters CC2: 100 (110, 120, 130, 145) (155, 175, 185, 200) yards / 90 (100, 110, 120, 130) (140, 160, 170, 185) meters CC3: 150 (165, 185, 200, 220) (235, 265, 280, 310) yards / 135 (150, 170, 185, 200) (215, 240, 255, 285) meters Note: Yarn amounts are estimated from a finished sample weight and include a buffer. Any changes to gauge, length or fit will affect the amount of yarn required to complete the project. **GAUGE AND SWATCHING INSTRUCTIONS** 22 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch after blocking, using Main needle. If your gauge is too tight, go up a needle size. If it is too loose, go down a needle size. Swatch again until your blocked gauge matches the pattern. Swatching is essential for a good fit and accurate yarn estimation. **NEEDLES** You'll need two sizes of circular needles. First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the size needle that you need for the main body of the tank. You'll use a needle one size smaller for the hem. For the sample, I used: Main: US Size 6 / 4 mm circular needle, 32 – 40" / 80 – 100 cm for working flat; 40" / 100 cm or longer for working in the round using the Magic Loop Method. Hem: US Size 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle, 40" / 100 cm for the hem using the Magic Loop Method. *Always choose the needle size that you need in order to obtain the pattern's gauge.
